Wisconsin senior Karley Sylvester had a career weekend against Lindenwood to open the season last weekend, and on Wednesday, she earned WCHA Player of the Week honors.

Sylvester scored the first goal of the season and added an assist in Friday night's 5-1 win over Lindenwood before having a career-high, four-point game in Saturday's 6-0 win, with a power-play goal and three assists.

Sylvester had a shot percentage of .200 and finished the weekend with a +5 plus/minus rating.

In her long-awaited debut weekend with the Badgers, freshman Annie Pankowski made a big impact, tallying four assists on the Badgers' final four goals of the weekend on Saturday. The accomplishment tied a Badger record for most assists by a freshman, and earned her WCHA Freshman of the Week honors.

Pankowski also had a +5 plus/minus rating during the series, and had six shots on net.
