Three future Badgers and three more players from the state of Wisconsin were listed Thursday by NHL Central Scouting when it released its November watch list for the 2014 NHL Draft. Future Badgers Seamus Malone and Jack Dougherty received "B" ratings by Central Scouting, while Matt Berkovitz was graded as a "C" prospect.
An "A" ranking by Central Scouting indicates a player who is a candidate to be selected in the first round. Players with a "B" ranking are projected as second- or third-round picks, while a "C" grade means a player has a chance to be selected between the third and sixth rounds of the draft.
Wisconsin natives Charley Graaskamp (Eau Claire Memorial), Cooper Watson (Appleton) and Alex Falconer (Shattuck-St. Mary's Prep) all received "C" ratings from Central Scouting. All three players are currently uncommitted.
One-time Badgers recruit Christian Dvorak was graded as a "C" prospect. Dvorak decommitted in August to sign with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League, forfeiting his NCAA eligibility in the process. Dvorak is currently 11th on the Knights in scoring with four goals and 10 points in 19 games this season.
