The Wisconsin Badgers aren’t done with their 2024 recruiting class, as outside linebacker Cody Raymond announced his commitment to the program on Tuesday.

Raymond, a Michigan native, is a 6’4, 195-pound linebacker and a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports.

In choosing Wisconsin as a preferred walk-on, Raymond declined scholarship opportunities from Temple and Army, the two schools that offered him.

As a senior at Utica High School, Raymond accumulated 120 tackles and eight sacks, leading him to an all-state selection.

Raymond joins a revamped outside linebackers group that is headlined by transfers John Pius and Leon Lowery to go with incumbent starter Darryl Peterson, among others.

He will now be coached by outside linebackers coach Matt Mitchell, who spent nearly two decades coaching at Grand Valley State, which is located in Michigan.

Raymond is the fifth walk-on in Wisconsin’s 2024 class, joining quarterback Milos Spasojevic, wide receiver Langdon Noorgard, linebacker Drew Braam, and safety Mason Lane.
