Wisconsin football recruiting: OT Jon Dietzen becomes Badgers' 4th commit for 2015

An in-state offensive lineman? That'll never work!

told you all there was momentum right around the corner.

Jon Dietzen, the 247 Sports composite four-star tackle and top-rated Wisconsin prospect from Seymour, was one of the major talents that the Badgers were recruiting hard in an effort to stock the offensive line. Sunday, he made his commitment to Wisconsin official. Listed at 330 pounds, Dietzen has the size to come in and lock in a future place on the right side of the offensive line.

Dietzen's commitment is the first for the Badgers since Andrew James committed on March 11. The Badgers beat out Illinois, Iowa State, Miami, Michigan State and Nebraska to get Dietzen's services. Expectations are that he will be the first of a potential four- or five-deep class of offensive linemen, with the conventional wisdom saying that David Moorman and Sam Madden could be next to join the class.

But either way, the first building block of the next class of offensive linemen has been set.
