D'Cota Dixon comes to Wisconsin more of a raw prospect, though he does fit the mold of a Gary Andersen defensive back and the staff has been pursuing him for a while.

Dixon could also play cornerback, and that might be what the Badgers are betting on. His Hudl profile shows he has shiftiness, even at running back, and he's also a capable tackler.

From Scout's Jamie Newberg:

Dixon is a versatile athlete that can play multiple positions on either side of the ball at running back, wide receiver, cornerback or even safety. He has good size but needs to put on bulk and gain strength. He has good speed but needs to work on getting faster. Dixon has excellent quickness, change of direction and short area bust. He's physical and aggressive. Dixon has good ball skills and is very athletic.
