The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., receiver capped a busy night on Wisconsin's recruiting front with some positivity.

After the evening Wisconsin's had, there was some need for good news on the recruiting trail. And with Monday night's announcement on Florida local radio, George Rushing has obliged the Badger faithful.

The momentum for the three-star Fort Lauderdale, Fla., wide receiver seemed to be falling the Badgers' way after he made his decommit from Louisville official on Jan. 8. Rushing becomes the fifth wide receiver UW was able to bring into the fold, and as I've said before, he definitely comes with a sneaky sort of upside. The Badgers will be seeing a freshman receiver or three play next season, and getting Rushing means they could have more options when considering who exactly sees the field early.

Wisconsin now has the No. 33 2014 class in the country, according to 247 Sports' composite rankings. That's a three-spot fall from earlier in the day, before Craig Evans wound up committing to Michigan State and Kaleb McGary chose Washington. Michigan State sits one spot ahead at No. 32, while Ohio State (No. 2), Michigan (No. 16) and Penn State (No. 21) lie ahead. For those interested, Bret Bielema's 2014 Arkansas class is ranked No. 30.

Wisconsin beat out Louisville and TCU for Rushing's services, and he also had offers from Cincinnati, Florida, LSU, Missouri, Ole Miss and Pittsburgh, among others.

Ironically, this commitment may end up taking another commit off the Badgers' board. Louisville has been sniffing around cornerbacks committed to the Badgers in Cornelius Sturghill and have offered him a spot on the offensive side of the ball. With Rushing not coming to Louisville, it may turn out Sturghill will.
