The highly sought-after defensive tackle has had a back-and-forth recruitment, though indications remain that he'll still be a Badger.

Many of us have been struck by the neverending storyline of Craig Evans' recruitment, but all signs still point toward the Sun Prairie defensive tackle sticking with Wisconsin. Evans reaffirmed his oral commitment earlier in January, but after visiting Michigan State last weekend, UW fans remained uneasy.

Alas, Evans' Sun Prairie coach, Brian Kaminski, told Tom Mulhern of the Wisconsin State Journal on Wednesday that he still expects Evans to be a Badger.

"He's still going to Wisconsin," Kaminski said. "I know Michigan State has been talking to him, but I think Wisconsin is where he wants to go."

"I know Michigan State's been after (Evans); he's been up there a couple times," Kaminski said. "But he's still got a commitment, it's still Wisconsin. It's where he feels his home is and everything else."

Mulhern also dives into the Evans' academic situation, of which Kaminski says Evans has made progress in. Saying "I don't think it's a long shot" of Evans qualifying for admission at UW, Kaminski says Evans will be taking a standardized test again later this month.

Evans originally committed to Wisconsin in September 2012, but he recommitted following the coaching change from Bret Bielema to Gary Andersen. He committed once again to the Badgers last March, though he continued to take other visits.

Be sure to read Mulhern's full story, as he dives into impressive detail on Evans' upbringing and various other elements of his recruitment.
