Wisconsin football recruiting: CB Cornelius Sturghill becomes Badgers' 26th commit

So, remember last Saturday? This time, it counts.

After the longest period of time where Wisconsin didn't have a commitment at the cornerback spot, Friday's shaping up to have an answer to a lot of your questions. Derrick Tindal was the first, and now Cornelius Sturghill can finally add his name to the list.

Sturghill has that same sort of eye-popping athleticism that made the Badgers look at Tindal. He was an all-state player on both sides of the ball (playing safety and wide receiver), and looking at his highlight film, you can see someone with the closing speed and aggression in coverage that could definitely allow him to see the field quickly.

Friday's commitments also don't affect the Badgers' efforts in going after Chris Lammons, and while there has been word of a third cornerback making his decision today, any decision D'Cota Dixon makes won't come until National Signing Day, and Andre Boggs hasn't visited yet.

Sturghill had Missouri as a finalist for his services, as well as offers from Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and UCLA. But when it comes down to it, the Memphis, Tenn., star was always ready to be a Badger.
