As Wisconsin's 2014 recruiting class has gone, the big issue that remained was never the fact that the Badgers went 0-for-2 on the high school superstars that they wanted to recruit. There was a positional need; you saw how it went down in the season's last two games. We needed some cornerbacks, and we just didn't have any.
Well, on Friday, that changed. 247 Sports reports that Boyd Anderson, Fla., cornerback Derrick Tindal has officially flipped his commitment from Indiana to Wisconsin. Tindal fits the mold of the Gary Andersen cornerback to a 'T.' He's listed as 5'11, but the fact of the matter is that Tindal's athleticism shows itself to be excellent. Tindal becomes the seventh recruit Wisconsin has flipped into becoming a Badger. He was scheduled to visit TCU and N.C. State before National Signing Day, but with his commitment, those visits are off the table. He also had offers from Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and UCF.
Tindal originally committed to Indiana Jan. 7, but received his Wisconsin offer less than a week later. He visited Madison that week, and the rest was history, it seems.
