Wisconsin picked up its fifth commit of the 2014 class on Wednesday, as Hartland (Arrowhead) native Billy Hirschfeld announced he'll be coming to Madison. The 6-foot-6, 270-pound defensive end is listed as a 3-star prospect and the nation's No. 32 weak-side DE by 247Sports.
Hey everyone I can't hold it in anymore and I can't wait any longer But I just wanted to say... I AM COMMITTING TO WISCONSIN!!#committed

Hirschfeld joins his Hartland teammate, G George Panos, as members of the 2014 class, which also includes 4-star weak-side defensive end Conor Sheehy (Marquette) and 4-star tackle Jaden Gault (Monona Grove). Four-star defensive tackle Craig Evans (Sun Prairie) also remains a soft-commit.
Cornerbacks coach Ben Strickland was Hirschfeld's lead recruiter, with first-year defensive line coach Chad Kauha'aha'a getting the assist. Hirschfeld chose Wisconsin over offers from Illinois, Iowa State, Michigan State, Minnesota, N.C. State, Nebraska and Pittsburgh.
Per 247, Hirschfeld gave his commitment in-person in head coach Gary Andersen's office.
