When Nathan Reuvers, a power forward from Lakeville, Minn. (North), visited Wisconsin on Wednesday, the Badgers were in the lead for the commitment, but there wasn't an expectation of Wednesday being the day. But as it turns out, Madison proved itself to be a good closer, as the Badgers were able to land the rising senior's commitment.
Reuvers, a 6'9 shooter, has an exciting offensive skill set that he brings to the table. He can shoot the ball from distance as well as flashing some quality low post moves and an ability to run the floor. You can see him growing up and becoming a future Jon Leuer as he develops. And you understand why he was among the top targets for the Badgers right now, regardless of class.
En route to a state championship game appearance with North, Reuvers averaged 20 points, eight rebounds and four blocks per game as a junior in 2015-16.
Reuvers received offers from Creighton, Minnesota, North Carolina State, and Washington State, among others. He joins the four-star shooting guard from La Crosse, Wis. (Central) Kobe King as members of the Class of 2017. The Badgers have two scholarships to work with for the upcoming class pending the status of Nigel Hayes with regards to the NBA Draft.
Beyond blessed to announce my commitment to further my education and basketball career at Wisconsin! ⚪️ #OnWisconsin pic.twitter.com/b2IKyj0jEG
