Wisconsin basketball recruiting: PF Nathan Reuvers on campus Wednesday

As I write this, the Badgers have one of their top targets for 2017 on campus for an unofficial visit.

UPDATE: Reuvers has committed to Wisconsin during his visit.

With Greg Gard earning the head coaching job and the class of 2016 locked in, Wisconsin can finally give both barrels to looking toward the class of 2017. On Wednesday, the Badgers have one of their top targets on site in the power forward from Lakeville, Minn. (North), Nathan Reuvers.

While that composite star ranking on Reuvers has yet to be achieved, he has a game that our own Phil Mitten compared favorably to Jon Leuer. He's has that proverbial nice length as a 6'9 power forward that can shoot from distance. But he does have a lot more to his offensive game, showing some quality low post moves as well as an ability to run the floor.

The Badgers do lead for Reuvers, who also holds offers from major conference programs like Clemson. Creighton, DePaul, Minnesota, North Carolina State, Northwestern, as well as Washington State. An offer from Notre Dame would potentially tilt the board, but at this point, the Badgers have been able to build a lead. And teaming him with 2017 commit Kobe King is potentially exciting.
