Fresh off a 3-1 win over the Penn State Nittany Lions, the Wisconsin Badgers are set to face off against the Oregon Ducks in the quarterfinals on Saturday, with the match starting at 7:00 P.M. CT at the UW Field House.

Thursday’s win against Penn State was their third of the tournament, as the Badgers took care of Jackson State and Miami at home in the first two rounds before getting revenge on their conference rivals in the Round of 16.

The Badgers came out swinging early, winning the first set 25-11, but Penn State fought hard and won 30-28 to tie it at one a piece.

But, that wasn’t enough for Penn State, as Wisconsin won 25-12 and 25-18 in the third and fourth sets, respectively, to pull away for a 3-1 victory.

Sarah Franklin led the way with 15 kills, while Temi Thomas-Ailara had 11 kills of her own and Devyn Robinson had 10, good for third on the team.

C.C. Crawford, on the other hand, led the team with ten blocks, followed by Carter Booth with seven.

Oregon entered the tournament on a five-match winning streak, and picked up wins over Southeastern Louisiana and Hawai’i in the first two rounds via sweeps before defeating No. 12 Purdue with another sweep in the regionals.

The winner of Friday’s game will go to the Final Four, where they’ll face the winner of Texas and Stanford.

Who will come out the victor in this one?
