Fresh off a 3-0 sweep over the Indiana Hoosiers, the Wisconsin Badgers are finishing their season with two home games, starting off with their biggest matchup of the year: a match at home against the No. 1 Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Last week, the Badgers lost their third match of the season, dropping a 3-2 game to the No. 16 Purdue Boilermakers before sweeping Indiana.
The Badgers last faced Nebraska in one of the biggest volleyball matches of the season, losing a close 3-2 match on the road in October.
Now, they’ll get a chance to return the favor at home in a crucial match, although the Big Ten title is out of reach.
After their week, the Badgers dropped to No. 5 in the AVCA rankings from No. 3, as Pittsburgh and Texas moved up.
The Badgers come in with a 24-3 record, with all three losses coming on the road.
Wisconsin has an 11-0 record at home, which they’ll look to extend this week, starting with Nebraska.
Meanwhile, the Cornhuskers come in with an undefeated 27-0 record, including 18-0 in conference play, most recently sweeping Michigan and Iowa.
Can the Badgers get the victory on Friday?
