2015 NHL Playoffs TV Schedule: 8 Badgers set to battle for the Stanley Cup

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

The 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs drop the puck this week, and to no surprise, Wisconsin will play a major role when it's all said and done. This season eight former Badgers will compete, starting with Kyle Turris and the Ottawa Senators taking on Tom Gilbert and the Montreal Canadiens in the early game Wednesday.

The New York Rangers won the Presidents Trophy this season as the team with the most points in the regular season. The reward for Derek Stepan and Ryan McDonagh? A date with Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round.

Another intriguing first-round series features Ryan Suter and the Minnesota Wild against Brian Elliott and the St. Louis Blues. It appears as if the Blues will Start Jake Allen between the pipes in game one of the series, but you know Elliott will have an effect before the series is over.

Craig Smith and Brendan Smith (no relation), are two of the league's up-and-coming superstars for the Nashville Predators and Detroit Red Wings, respectively.

As always it should be an awesome month of hockey. There's nothing better in sports than the month where the Stanley Cup Playoffs takes over your life. Can't wait.
