2015-16 Wisconsin men's hockey schedule coming together

Non-conference games against Boston College, Boston University, Northern Michigan, Denver, Arizona State, Ferris State, Alaska and North Dakota give Wisconsin an interesting schedule for 2015-16.

For some reason, Wisconsin is always one of the last NCAA schools to release its official hockey schedule, so, usually, we find out the schedule from press releases from other schools before the Badgers eventually get around to it.

We know all of the opponents UW will play next season, but the dates have yet to be released for the majority of the games, including the entire Big Ten schedule.

In addition to Wisconsin's 20 league games next season, the Badgers will also host Northern Michigan, Arizona State, Denver and Alaska Fairbanks in non-conference series. UW will play road series at Ferris State and North Dakota, and will play one game each at Boston University and Boston College.

In addition to that, the Badgers have an exhibition contest scheduled for Jan. 1 against Canadian CIS school Trinity Western University. Trinity Western, which also goes by Langley, will also play an exhibition against Nebraska Omaha the next night, and played against St. Cloud State and Minnesota State last year.

The only dates on the schedule that we have confirmed so far are Oct. 9-10 vs. Northern Michigan at home, Oct. 30-31 vs. Arizona State at home, Nov. 6-7 at North Dakota, Nov. 20-21 vs. Denver at home and the exhibition vs. Trinity Western on Jan. 1.

We'll keep you updated as more dates on the schedule are released.
