Former Wisconsin forward Tyler Barnes was honored on Wednesday as the ECHL announced the starting lineup for the 2015 CCM / ECHL All-Star Classic.

The starting lineup is determined in voting by ECHL coaches, team captains, media relations directors, broadcasters and media members.

Barnes, who plays for the Toledo Walleye, is the lone rookie in the starting line. The ECHL Rookie of the Month for December, Barnes leads first-year players with 23 assists and 36 points. Under contract with Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League, Barnes' 36 points has him tied for sixth overall in the league.

As a senior for the Badgers last season, Barnes registered 14 goals and 14 assists in 33 games, and helped lead UW to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. During his four-year career in Madison, Barnes collected 45 goals and finished with 101 career points in 152 games.
