Wisconsin partners with You Can Play project

Led by Wisconsin women's hockey goaltender Ilana Friedman, the Badgers have joined the You Can Play project.

In partnership with the You Can Play project, the Wisconsin athletic department has released a video supporting equality at the school for all athletes, regardless of sexual orientation.

If you're not familiar with You Can Play, the project is best described by its Twitter bio: "You Can Play is comprised of athletes and fans who think athletes should be judged on talent, heart and work ethic... not sexual orientation."

Led by Wisconsin goaltender Ilana Friedman, the Badgers made a video of their own that was first released at the recent Buckingham Awards.

Friedman was featured by B5Q in February for her contributions to the Wisconsin women's hockey program. In the piece written by Nicole Haase, Friedman talked about living life as an out athlete for the Badgers.

It's outstanding that Friedman was able to lead the charge in getting a You Can Play video made at Wisconsin.

Bucky's 5th Quarter has, and will always continue to support all Badgers. If you can play, you can play.
