Thanks to a tweet from Wisconsin Deputy Director of Athletics Sean Frazier, we have our first picture of what the Badger hockey team will be playing for next season and moving forward.
Starting in the 2013-14 hockey season, Wisconsin and Minnesota will leave the WCHA for the Big Ten Hockey Conference. Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State will do the same, except after leaving the CCHA. Current independent Penn State will be the league's sixth member for the time being.
Anyways, here is a picture of the sleek trophy that will (presumably) be handed out to the regular season champions.
The trophy doesn't appear to have a name yet at this point. What about the Herb Brooks Trophy for the regular season champion, and the Bob Johnson Trophy for the Big Ten Tournament champion?
