Wisconsin's loss last week to Penn Sate dropped them from No. 17 in the PWR all the way to No. 28. Due to results around the country during the week, the Badgers have been elevated to a tie for No. 25. If Wisconsin wants any shot at an at-large birth in the NCAA tournament, they need to sweep Nebraska-Omaha this weekend.
The Badgers are also in the quest for home ice in the first round of the WCHA playoffs. Currently Wisconsin is tied with Denver for the sixth and final home ice spot, although the Badgers own the tie breaker between the two clubs.
