Captaining her team to a weekend sweep, Alex Rigsby earned WCHA Defense Player of the Week honors Wednesday.
She tallied 25 saves and a shutout Saturday and added 28 saves. In addition, she had more than 100 consecutive minutes of shutout puck in the net before Minnesota State scored a third-period goal Sunday.
Rigsby needs just seven career wins to pass Jessie Vetter for most wins by a Badger women's goalie all-time. Saturday's shutout was the 24th in her career.
