Hockey Hangover: Badgers take care of business in openening night win

The Badgers dismantled Northern Michigan, 5-2, in the season opener at the Kohl Center Friday night.

Five goals from five different players was the difference Friday night, as third-ranked Wisconsin (1-0) toppled Northern Michigan (0-1) at the Kohl Center in Madison.

After receiving first period goals from Joseph LaBate, Jake McCabe and Michael Mersch, the Badgers cruised to the 5-2 win. Wisconsin would later receive tallies from Tyler Barnes and freshman Grant Besse.
