Thanks to friend of the blog 'Innova' from the USCHO message board, we finally have video of the borderline assault that Michigan Tech forward Jujhar Khaira inflicted on Badger defenseman Jake McCabe Friday night.
Khaira was given a two-minute penalty on the play, but was not handed additional punishment from the league this week in the form of a suspension.
If you didn't hear yesterday, Wisconsin's Ryan Little was suspended by the WCHA for one game for an illegal check on Saturday night. I'll embed that video below the WWE take-down by Khaira.
If you want to argue that Little's hit is worthy of a suspension, that's fine. But Khaira walking free is absolutely mind boggling.
Lack of additional discipline on plays like this from Khaira are why people like myself aren't going to miss playing in a league ran by Greg Shepherd and Bruce McLeod.
