The Wisconsin Badgers have started the season strong, accumulating a 12-3 record, including 4-0 in the Big Ten, which has earned them the No. 15 spot in the AP Top 25.

Beginning the season with early losses to the Tennessee Volunteers and the Providence Friars, the Badgers are now winners of five straight and 11 of their last 12, leading them to consistently climb the rankings each week.

Now, there’s a ranking that is even more bullish on the Badgers: ESPN’s Bracketology, led by analyst Joe Lunardi.

Lunardi placed the Badgers as a No. 2 seed in his latest segment of Bracketology, placing them in the South region, where they’re projected to face Jacksonville State, a team they’ve already beaten this season.

Wisconsin is in line to compete for the Big Ten title this season along with top contenders Purdue and Illinois, and should ultimately end up as a Top 15-20 team in the nation.

Thus far, it appears that the projection has been justified by the committee’s bracketology predictions.
