Fresh off a 75-60 victory over the Jacksonville State Gamecocks, the Wisconsin Badgers have dropped a spot in the AP Top 25, moving to No. 24 this week.

After starting as the first team outside of the Top 25, the Badgers dropped with early losses to Tennessee and Providence, but climbed back up the rankings with strong victories over Virginia, SMU, Marquette, and Michigan State en route to an 8-3 record thus far.

This past week, the Badgers went 1-0 with a win over Jacksonville State, but still dropped one spot in the rankings, as Memphis jumped from unranked to No. 23 after a win over No. 16 Clemson, who dropped two spots to No. 18.

Wisconsin is one of three Big Ten teams in the AP Top 25, joining the No. 1 Purdue Boilermakers and the No. 13 Illinois Fighting Illini.

Purdue moved up two spots after beating the No. 1 Arizona Wildcats 92-84, while Illinois continued its climb, going up three spots this past week.

To cap off their non-conference slate, the Badgers have a matchup against Chicago State this Friday, which will be their last contest of the calendar year.

In addition to being ranked at No. 24 in the AP Top 25, the Badgers were listed at No. 18 in this week’s NET rankings, dropping one spot from the previous week.
