The Wisconsin Badgers have started off the 2023-2024 season strong, compiling victories over teams like Virginia, SMU, Michigan State, and Marquette en route to an 8-3 record and the No. 23 rank in the AP Top 25.

However, last weekend, the Badgers faced their toughest opponent to date in the No. 1 Arizona Wildcats and were served with a reality check, as Wisconsin lost 98-73.

Going 1-1 on the week, Wisconsin remained in the Top 25 at No. 23, and will look to finish out the calendar year with a Top 25 ranking, as they have just one non-conference game remaining before the break: a home bout against Chicago State, who just upset Northwestern.

Following the break, the Badgers will face a tough conference schedule that includes matchups with No. 3 Purdue, No. 16 Illinois, and a variety of other teams.

That leads us to the question: will the Badgers finish as a top-25 team? Or are they due for some regression?

DraftKings Sportsbook currently sees the Badgers finishing as a top-three team in the conference, with +800 odds to win the Big Ten title.
