Badgers remain at No. 23 in latest AP Poll despite loss

The Badgers are staying put in the latest AP Top 25 Poll.

Despite losing 98-73 to the No. 1 Arizona Wildcats, the Wisconsin Badgers have remained at No. 23 in this week’s AP Top 25 poll.

After cracking the rankings last week following a 75-64 win over Marquette, the Badgers went 1-1 this past week, defeating Michigan State 70-57 in their first conference game before losing to Arizona on Saturday, which snapped a six-game winning streak.

The Badgers are one of three teams in the AP Top 25 that have three losses, joining the No. 12 Tennessee Volunteers and the No. 21 Duke Blue Devils.

Additionally, Wisconsin is one of four Big Ten teams in the AP Top 25, joining the No. 3 Purdue Boilermakers, the No. 16 Illinois Fighting Illini, and the No. 25 Northwestern Wildcats. Ohio State was named as an honorable mentions.

Following their tough three-game stretch, the Badgers finish their non-conference schedule with home games against Jacksonville State and Chicago State before the new year.

In addition to being ranked at No. 23 in the AP Top 25, the Badgers were listed at No. 19 in this week’s NET rankings.
