Wisconsin went cold to end the first half -- no points in the final 4:31 -- but the Badgers did enough early to carry a 36-31 lead into halftime against Purdue on Senior Day.
Ryan Evans headlines the Badgers at halftime with a game-high eight points (shared with Ben Brust and Sam Dekker) on 4-of-5 shooting. The senior also pulled in three rebounds and two steals. Brust and Dekker each shot 3-for-4 from the field and hit a pair of three-pointers apiece.
A trio of Boilermakers share the Purdue points lead with six each: D.J. Byrd, Ronnie Johnson and Terone Johnson. Purdue shot 13-of-29 (44.5 percent) from the field but turned the ball over seven times (21.7 percent of possessions) and carries just an offensive efficiency of just 96.3 points per 100 possessions in to the half.
Badger senior Jared Berggren has five points on just 1-of-5 shooting to go with a game-high four rebounds. Fellow senior Mike Bruesewitz has yet to score and has missed all four of his shots from the field.
