Sophomore Frank Kaminsky missed Thursday's practice after being poked in the eye against Indiana and will be absent today when Wisconsin takes on Iowa at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
The 6'11" forward hit two 3-pointers in three minutes during the first half against the Hoosiers on Tuesday, but did not play after halftime as his left eye began to swell shut. When the Badgers traveled to Iowa City yesterday, Kaminsky was not with the team.
Though he is averaging only 7.3 minutes and 2.3 points per game so far during Big Ten play, Kaminsky is the most efficient offensive player for UW this season according to the numbers. His 1.337 points-per-possession edges Jared Berggren among those playing at least 10% of the available minutes. In Kaminsky's absence, 6'8" Iowa native Zach Bohannon is preparing to pick up a few spot minutes off the bench.
Kaminsky's roommate Traevon Jackson told Madison's The Big 1070 AM this week that Kaminsky was out and about wearing some funny glasses this week, and thanks to Big Frank's twitter account, we now know just how goofy protective lenses look:

In two appearances last season against Iowa, Kaminsky did not score but did block three shots in 12 minutes.
