The Wisconsin Badgers are facing some more transfer portal news at the linebacker position, as rising redshirt sophomore Aidan Vaughan is moving on from the program, he announced over the weekend.

A former three-star recruit in the Class of 2022, Vaughan was brought in by the former staff, but the writing was on the wall when head coach Luke Fickell added a plethora of transfers at linebacker this offseason.

The Badgers have already landed commits from Arkansas transfer Jaheim Thomas, who is in the running to earn a starting spot, UNC transfer Sebastian Cheeks, and Northern Iowa transfer Jahsiah Galvan at linebacker.

Additionally, the Badgers are still in the running back for former four-star recruit Tackett Curtis, who would likely play inside linebacker at Wisconsin should he join the program.

Vaughan has officially earned four offers since entering the portal, getting interest from Liberty, Kent State, Ball State, and Eastern Michigan.

The Badgers could see more movement at linebacker, as the team looks to transition to Mike Tressel’s preferred defense, which requires more athleticism and different traits at the position.
