Former Wisconsin Badgers five-star offensive lineman Nolan Rucci decided to enter the transfer portal earlier this week, and it appears he has found his next destination quickly.

Rucci, a Pennsylvania native, announced his commitment to Penn State, returning home to play for his final two seasons of eligibility.

A redshirt sophomore in 2023, Rucci had been entrenched in a position logjam, as starter Jack Nelson announced his return, leaving minimal space for the former five-star recruit to fit into the rotation.

Initially pegged as the future of the left tackle position for Wisconsin, Rucci will look to now accomplish that goal at Penn State.

The Badgers have lost a few offensive linemen to the transfer portal this offseason, as Rucci, Trey Wedig, Dylan Barrett, and Zack Mlsna have all left the program.

While the Badgers haven’t landed any offensive linemen from the portal to fill in the gaps, they do have an incoming recruiting class with five new players at the position.
