In a whirlwind move, the Wisconsin Badgers have landed a commitment from Syracuse transfer outside linebacker Leon Lowery once again, just days after he committed and de-committed from the program.

Lowery had been an early target for the Badgers, as they’ve been looking to improve their depth at outside linebacker, which is why they brought him for a visit last weekend.kend.

However, Lowery has since gone independent, and re-affirmed his commitment to the Badgers on Thursday.

“These last 48 hours have been a whirlwind. After thinking long & hard about my future it became clear to be what was really important. I’ve had great discussions with my coaches and family… there’s not a better fit for me and my future than in Madison, Wisconsin! I’m shutting down my recruitment & will not take any more visits. I’m a Badger! On, Wisconsin,” Lowery shared to X.

The Badgers have two years of eligibility with Lowery, and will look to involve him into a outside linebacker rotation that should lose C.J. Goetz, leaving a hole to fill.
