The Wisconsin Badgers have offered several players who entered the transfer portal this offseason, as the portal officially opened on Monday, December 4th.
As news continues to come, I’ll publish articles as I have about the transfer portal, but will continue to update this thread with the latest for the Badgers and who they’ve offered.
The Badgers have offered USC transfer linebacker Tackett Curtis, who is moving on after his true freshman season, where he recorded 40 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble.
A four-star recruit in the Class of 2023, Wisconsin was among his finalists, and is looking to secure a visit soon.
The Badgers have offered Georgia Tech defensive back K.J. Wallace, who had 42 tackles, eight pass deflections, two forced fumbles, one interception, a sack, and a fumble recovery as a redshirt junior in 2023.
A former four-star recruit at Notre Dame, Wallace is a second-time transfer and has one year of remaining eligibility.
The Badgers offered Albany defensive lineman Elijah Hills, who had 31 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in 2023.
Hill, a rising senior, has one year of remaining eligibility.
The Badgers offered James Madison wide receiver Elijah Sarratt, who broke out with 82 catches for 1,191 yards and eight touchdowns in 2023 after a strong 2022 campaign.
A rising redshirt junior, Sarratt has two years of eligibility remaining.
The Badgers offered New Mexico State transfer Andre Seldon Jr., who is on an official visit to Madison from January 3rd-5th.
A former four-star recruit in the Class of 2020, Seldon has one year of eligibility remaining and possesses inside/outside versatility at cornerback.
The Badgers offered Florida State transfer defensive lineman Ayobami Tifase on Thursday as well, marking their third official offer of the day.
Tifase, a redshirt freshman, stands at 6’4, 300 pounds, and is one of the recruits taking a visit to Wisconsin this weekend.
UPDATE: Tifase has committed to Georgia Tech.
The Badgers have offered Oklahoma transfer defensive lineman Kelvin Gilliam Jr., he announced on Thursday.
A four-star recruit in the Class of 2021, Gilliam hasn’t seen much opportunity yet, but he stands at 6’3, 300 pounds.
The Wisconsin Badgers continue to offer defensive linemen, this time extending the courtesy to Austin Peay redshirt freshman Travis Bates.
Standing at 6’3, 270 pounds, Bates had 3 sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss in his first true action in 2023.
The Wisconsin Badgers extended an offer to talented 6’4 wide receiver Jahmal Banks, who posted 59 catches for 653 yards and four touchdowns for Wake Forest this season.
A rising redshirt senior, Banks has seen offers from several top programs across the country.
The Wisconsin Badgers have offered another defensive lineman, this time extending the courtesy to Alabama transfer Anquin Barnes Jr.
A four-star recruit in the Class of 2021, Barnes has yet to see the field with the Crimson Tide.
UPDATE: Barnes Jr. has committed to Colorado.
After landing Syracuse transfer Leon Lowery, the Badgers are still working to add to their outside linebacker room, as they offered FCS-All American transfer John Pius after a visit this weekend.
Pius, a 6’2, 235-pound outside linebacker, comes in with 21 sacks over the past two seasons, and will have one year of remaining eligibility.
CB T.J. Crandall
The Badgers offered Colorado State transfer defensive back T.J. Crandall, who saw significant action as a true freshman this season.
Standing at 6’1, 185 pounds, Crandall has seen offers from a number of top schools, including UCLA and Oregon State.
UPDATE: Crandall has committed to West Virginia.
DT Anthony Johnson
The Badgers offered Youngstown State transfer defensive tackle Anthony Johnson, who had five sacks and 25 tackles in his first year as a starter last season.
UPDATE: Johnson has committed to Illinois.
CB Syeed Gibbs
The Badgers offered Rhode Island transfer cornerback Syeed Gibbs, who had three interceptions and three pass-breakups as a redshirt freshman last season.
Gibbs has been a popular name in the portal, having received 12 offers thus far, including ones from Tennessee and Virginia.
UPDATE: Gibbs has committed to Georgia Tech.
The Badgers offered Michigan State return specialist/receiver Tyrell Henry, who had 24 catches for 195 yards and three touchdowns in 2023.
Henry will take an official visit to Wisconsin this weekend, which is the first of his recruitment. He has a strong tie to Badgers cornerback Amare Snowden.
OLB Leon Lowery
The Badgers offered Syracuse transfer outside linebacker Leon Lowery, who took an official visit on the weekend of December 1st, and initially committed before quickly de-committing.
The Badgers offered D-III standout receiver Jaden Richardson, who caught 46 passes for 830 yards and 13 touchdowns at Tufts this year.
This offer is believed to be a preferred walk-on.
UPDATE: Richardson has committed to Cal.
The Badgers’ first offer to a player in the transfer portal was Penn graduate transfer defensive lineman Joey Slackman, who racked up eight sacks over the past two seasons.
Slackman has been one of the portal’s hottest commodities with a variety of offers, and visited Wisconsin on the weekend of December 1st on an official visit.
UPDATE: Slackman has committed to Florida.
