The Badgers are still actively looking for cornerback talent in the transfer portal.

The Wisconsin Badgers are hosting New Mexico State cornerback Andre Seldon on an official visit in early January, he announced on X.

A redshirt junior in 2023, Seldon was a starter for New Mexico State and recorded 52 tackles, three tackles for loss, and an interception.

A transfer with one year of remaining eligibility, Seldon provides significant experience at cornerback, and is likely being evaluated for the Badgers’ vacant nickelback position, which was manned by sixth-year senior Jason Maitre in 2023.

Seldon, standing at 5’9, 190 pounds, is from Belleville, Michigan, and started all 15 games on the outside at cornerback in 2023 after manning the nickel role in 2022 for New Mexico State.

A former Top-175 recruit in the Class of 2020, Seldon is one of a variety of cornerbacks that the Badgers are evaluating from the transfer portal.

At New Mexico State, Seldon was one of, if not the, best defender on the team over the past few seasons, and he’ll look to bring those talents to Wisconsin if he ultimately commits to the program.
