The Wisconsin Badgers are set to face off against the LSU Tigers in the ReliaQuest Bowl on January 1st, 2024, but their team will look much different than from their season finale against the Minnesota Golden Gophers last month.
For starters, running back Braelon Allen and cornerback Jason Maitre are opting out of the bowl game, while several players have transferred out of the program.
But, the Tigers will also be in a similar predicament, as star quarterback Jayden Daniels, who recently won the Heisman Trophy, announced his intentions to enter the 2024 NFL Draft and forego the bowl game on Monday.

With Daniels out, the Tigers will likely rely on redshirt sophomore Garrett Nussmeier, who has thrown for 196 yards and a touchdown in 2023.
However, the Tigers will have a majority of their roster, including wide receivers Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr., as head coach Brian Kelly shared on Monday that the only players that are opting out of the bowl game are Daniels and the transfers.
The bowl’s kickoff is set for 11:00 A.M. CT on January 1st, 2024 in Tampa, Florida.
