Henry, a redshirt freshman, was a three-star recruit in the Class of 2022, and was a key target for Wisconsin, who has been looking to bolster their receiver room after losing Chimere Dike, Skyler Bell, and Keontez Lewis to the transfer portal.
In 2023, Henry caught 24 passes for 195 yards, but served as the team’s kick and punt returner, a role he could reprise at Wisconsin.
Originally from Roseville, Michigan, Henry is close with current Badgers cornerback Amare Snowden, who publicly recruited his former high school teammate to come to Wisconsin.
With Henry in the fold, the Badgers now have 10 scholarship receivers on their roster, and could look to add even more, as they’ve been in contact with a few other players.
Henry had visited on an official to Wisconsin last weekend, and now becomes the fifth transfer to commit to the program this week, joining Cincinnati long snapper Cayson Pfeiffer, William & Mary outside linebacker John Pius, LSU tight end Jackson McGohan, and Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke.
