The Badgers will begin the season ranked 23rd in the coaches poll. Is that too low, or just right?

Brian Spurlock-US PRESSWIRE

Gary Andersen will begin his tenure as Wisconsin's head football coach with a top-25 ranking. The Badgers were ranked No. 23 in the preseason USA Today coaches poll released Thursday morning, giving the Badgers a solid start for the 2013 season.

Five Big Ten teams made the poll, with Ohio State leading the way at No. 2, ahead of Michigan (No. 17), Nebraska (No. 18), Northwestern (No. 22) and Wisconsin. Alabama was voted No. 1, with Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford and Georgia rounding out the top five.
