As widely foreseen, Wisconsin trounced Indiana Saturday. The result is a three-spot jump in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll to No. 17, and that's the poll that factors into the BCS standings. The latest edition of those will be released later Sunday night.
A three-spot jump is a welcomed reward, though the question remains: are teams like UCLA and Fresno State really better than Wisconsin? The answer: No, but Arizona State happened.
For Wisconsin, it's all about winning out and winning big. Minnesota jumped two spots this week to No. 23, and that's where the Badgers are headed next weekend. An extra-big win there could continue to nudge Wisconsin up toward at-large bid territory.
