The Badgers will host the Terps in 2020 before traveling to College Park the following season.

Wisconsin continued its planning for the future on Thursday, announcing a football home-and-home series with Maryland in 2020 and 2021.

One week after revealing the details of a home-and-home with BYU, Wisconsin announced the Badgers will travel to Byrd Stadium in College Park, Md., in 2020. The following season, The Terrapins will come to Madison. The two teams have never faced each other.

"The world of college football changes dramatically in 2014 with the implementation of the playoff system," UW head coach Bret Bielema said in a statement. "This is another step towards strengthening our non-conference schedule and helping us recruit nationally."

Wisconsin hasn't faced an ACC school since the 2009 Champs Sports Bowl, a 20-14 win over Miami. The last regular-season ACC opponent Wisconsin had was at North Carolina, which resulted in a 14-5 win in 2005.

This latest home-and-home ensures the Badgers will face at least once BCS school in each of the next nine seasons. Wisconsin has previously announced series with Washington State (2014 and 2015), Virginia Tech (2016 and 2017) and Washington (2018 and 2019). That is all in addition to the three times Wisconsin will face BYU in 2013, 2017 and 2018.
