Tyler Wahl was the glue guy on a loaded D1 Minnesota travel team that Wisconsin spent a lot of time observing. Wahl ran the offense for D1 Minnesota for several games when Stanford recruit Tyrell Terry went down with an injury. The Badgers offered Wahl on April 24, 2018 and received a commitment 58 days later. The UW staff knows what they’re getting — a swiss-army knife type that is a decent athlete with size. Wahl’s ability to defend multiple positions effectively will give Wisconsin flexibility in years to come.

Wahl hails from the same successful high school program as current Badger forward Nate Reuvers, and put on one of his top performances in the state tournament last year. He also had offers from Baylor, Iowa State, Northwestern, Minnesota, and Northern Iowa.
