Stewart was a highly-touted prep player in Ohio before moving to Tennessee prior to his sophomore season. Florida, Kansas State, Memphis, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, and most recently Georgetown and Utah have all joined Wisconsin in offering the combo guard. Bruce Weber has been in for a visit recently, as was John Thompson III. Ohio State and Iowa State are also showing interest. There is also a Wyoming connection, since Stewart's father used to be on staff there when he was younger. Stewart has played with many teams on the travel circuit, including the Memphis Bulls, King James Shooting Stars, The Travelers (KY), and now Team Penny instead of the St. Louis Eagles. He hoped to cut his list down to five or six schools by July and never did arrange a visit to Madison. Shortly after the Badgers gained a verbal commitment from Minnesota guard Brad Davison, Stewart announced his short list of seven schools, which did not include Wisconsin.
