Verbal commitment Verbally committed to Iowa

Holding offers from Iowa, Wake Forest, Drake, Minnesota, Purdue, Northern Iowa, Colorado State, and now Wisconsin, Josh Dix is a well-rounded two-guard with great size and shooting ability. Regarded as the first- or second-ranked player in Iowa’s 2022 high school class, Dix had great things to say about UW and the program’s consistency after his official visit on August 5. He has also taken an unofficial visit to Iowa and an official to Wake. Dix is on a fast timeline for commitment, too. He told Badger247’s Evan Flood ($) he planned to choose a college before the high school season tips off and he did. Dix made an official stop to Iowa for a football game the first weekend of September and made up his mind, rendering plans to return to Madison the following weekend irrelevant. Wisconsin, as well as Utah, were among Dix’s five finalists announced in late August.

Though considered by some outlets as a Hawkeye lean, Dix has as many connections to the state of Nebraska as he does to Hawkeye state. Hailing from Council Bluffs in western Iowa, his Abraham Lincoln squad has dominated the Missouri River Athletic Conference for the past two seasons, going 28-0 in league play. Dix has competed against Badger freshman Chucky Hepburn and runs with the Omaha Sports Academy (OSA) Crusaders on the Adidas travel circuit.
