Verbal commitment Verbally committed to Saint Louis

Early offers for Goodwin came in from Creighton, Illinois, Illinois State, Iowa, Kansas State, Missouri, Purdue, St. Louis and Virginia Tech. He visited Illinois twice in the summer prior to his junior year and named the Illini as his current leader. One look at Goodwin and you'll immediately see why he draws comparisons to former Butler standout Roosevelt Jones, who also came from the Illinois side of the St. Louis area. Boasting a 6'10" wingspan, Goodwin began as an effective player down low. However, he's begun developing into a better ball handler and a passionate leader. Goodwin cut his list of prospective schools down to seven in July.
