Verbal commitment Verbally committed to Arkansas

Considered the top player in Missouri for 2015, Whitt is an athletic combo guard that may grow into a full-fledged shooting guard. However, Whitt has been working this summer to develop his point guard skills. His primary offensive weapon at this point is his pull-up jumper.

Whitt's recruitment is blowing up right now, with offers from Wisconsin, Nebraska, Illinois, Wake Forest, Minnesota and Xavier flying in at the end of the spring in the span of one week. He is getting heavy interest from a number of other big-time schools in the region, with Arkansas an early favorite due to the uncertainty at Missouri that just recently ended with the hiring of Kim Anderson as head coach. UW's staff watched Whitt for the first time at the Jayhawk Invitational in Kansas City in late April and was immediately intrigued, offering soon after. Whitt took an official visit to Minnesota the weekend of June 27, and has said SMU will be one of his official visits in the future.

Whitt continued to shine at the NBPA Top 100 camp. When Whitt narrowed his choices to nine on July 30, Wisconsin did not make the cut. He chose Arkansas over Missouri, Illinois, SMU and Marquette, opting to bypass most of his planned visits.
