Koch is an Iowa legacy recruit holding an early Hawkeye offer, so this is ambitious attempt from Greg Gard and Co. However, Dean Oliver was a college teammate of Cooper’s father, J.R., for two seasons, giving the Badgers somewhat of an in. Koch is a high IQ player with good shooting and passing skills who is likely to add several inches to his current 6’7” frame. The majority of the Big Ten will be interested in this kid, starting with new offers from Purdue and Indiana.
