Touting a long list of low and mid-major offers, Connor Essegian is played well enough this summer to draw not just high-major interest, but cold, hard offers. Creighton, Wake Forest, Butler, and Minnesota started the run in July. Wisconsin came through after Essegian’s unofficial visit to start August. Essegian was also getting looks from another home-state program in Purdue before cutting his list. He capped off his whirlwind recruitment with an official visit to Wisconsin, which sealed the deal for Essegian and broke the seal on the 2022 class for the Badgers.

Lauded as an outstanding teammate and competitor, he gives off a hint of Brad Davison vibes. As you might expect out of a 6’4” kid from the Hoosier state, Essegian can flat out shoot the rock from the outside. He led his high school squad at Central Noble to its best ever season (22-5) as a sophomore, setting a county record for points in the process. This spring and summer, Essegian led Indiana Elite 17U in scoring on the Adidas 3SSB circuit.
