Angel is an emerging catch-and-shoot specialist with size on the wing who models his game after Klay Thompson. A former JV quarterback at 6’7”, he caught Wisconsin’s eye playing for Gamepoint Elite on the Adidas circuit and again at an NCAA-sponsored camp prior to his senior season and is picking up steam nationally now. With early offers from California, Stanford, Wisconsin, Washington State, Utah, several Ivy League schools and most midmajors on the west coast, Angel has plenty of nice options already. Perhaps UW’s business school and winning reputation is what earned it a spot in Angel’s Final 4 list of schools. Angel planned an official visit to Wisconsin for the fall, but the Badgers received a verbal from Ben Carlson in September and bowed out of Angel’s recruitment immediately. By month’s end, Angel had pledged to Stanford.
