T.J. Edwards named Big Ten Freshman of the Week


No surprise here: Wisconsin redshirt freshman linebacker T.J. Edwards is the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after recording a career-high 16 tackles in Saturday's win over Purdue.

Edwards also forced a fumble and notched seven solo tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss. This is the first time Edwards has won a weekly award from the Big Ten. UW's last Big Ten Freshman of the Week was Taiwan Deal on Sept. 28.

Antonio Williams commits to Ohio State


As expected, former Wisconsin running back verbal commit Ohio State has committed to Ohio State. We outlined the saga around Williams' decommitment in much detail here and here, and also named some possible replacements for him in Madison here.

Antonio Williams decommits, opens recruitment


Antonio Williams, the four-star running back from North Carolina who was Wisconsin's first verbal commitment of the 2016 recruiting class, has officially reopened his commitment.
