Aaron Henry joining Chris Ash at Rutgers
Chris Ash is set to hire Arkansas GA Aaron Henry as assistant DB coach, per source: https://t.co/qZwtnUAQHQ
— Dan Duggan (@DDuggan21) December 28, 2015
Chris Ash, the former Ohio State, Wisconsin and Arkansas defensive coordinator has made his first hire as the new head coach at Rutgers. It's a familiar face for Badgers fans, too: former UW safety Aaron Henry. Henry will be an assistant defensive backs coach, according to Dan Duggan of NJ Advance Media. Including Henry, Rutgers will have nine full-time assistant coaches under Ash. Now 26, Henry spent the past two seasons at Arkansas under Bret Bielema, who coached Henry at Wisconsin. Ash was on Bielema's staff for Henry's final two seasons, serving as defensive backs coach in 2010 and defensive coordinator in 2011.. Over 52 games at Wisconsin, Henry made 32 starts and recorded 181 tackles (seven for loss), 4.5 sacks, seven interceptions and 23 pass breakups. As a senior, Henry was an All-Big Ten first-team selection.

Donovan Jeter is a four-star prospect from the Pittsburgh area who is currently rated as the No. 16 defensive tackle in the 2017 class. Could this be a case where we see a relationship built by Paul Chryst during his time at Pitt come into play?

UW target George Hill picks Pitt
After talking with my family & coaches. I have decided to become a student athlete at the University of Pittsburgh. #H2P
— ⚡️Rudeboy_Hill⚡️4⃣ (@Ayooo_George) December 18, 2015
There was an upset in the race to land the commitment of Hubbard, Ohio, running back George Hill, but ultimately it didn't land in the Wisconsin Badgers' favor as Hill announced his commitment to the Pittsburgh Panthers on Friday. For the Badgers, they do still have Katy, Texas, prospect Kyle Porter and McKeesport, Pa., back Khaleke Hudson set to visit on the weekend of Jan. 29. But considering the Badgers are looking for two running backs for the class of 2016, it stands to reason the Badgers make a new offer or two at the position with Kentrail Moran or Khalil Herbert likely next up to receive offers.

Greensboro, N.C. (Northern Guilford) running back and Wisconsin target C.J. Freeman reaffirmed his commitment to the South Carolina Gamecocks on Tuesday evening. The composite three-star recruit visited South Carolina last weekend after UW head coach Paul Chryst visited the week prior during an in-house visit. The Badgers are apparently one of the finalists for Hubbard, Ohio running back George Hill, a four-star prospect who announces his verbal commitment on Friday.
