Wisconsin Badgers vs. Michigan State Spartans: Game Thread

Can the Badgers start conference play off on the right foot?

Syndication: Journal Sentinel Mark Hoffman/Milwaukee Journal Sentinel / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Wisconsin Badgers are set to face off against the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday, currently riding a four-game win streak with victories over Western Illinois, SMU, Virginia, and Marquette.

Those wins have led the Badgers to a 6-2, which they’ll look to improve on Tuesday against Michigan State, with tipoff scheduled for 6:00 P.M. CT.

Michigan State, standing at 4-3, started off as a top-five team in the AP Top 25, but slipped after losses to Duke, Arizona, and James Madison.

The Spartans have found ways to score, putting up around 75 points per game, thanks to a strong start from star point guard Tyson Walker, who is averaging 20.5 points per game on 49.5 percent from the field.

In Saturday’s game, the Badgers are seen as 5.5-point underdogs, with the over/under set at 132.5 points.

Going into the tough three-game stretch, I predicted the Badgers to go 1-2, beating Michigan State, while losing to Marquette and Arizona.

Obviously, the Badgers pulled out a huge victory over Marquette, and I’m thinking they remain in the win column on Tuesday.

Prediction: Wisconsin +5.5
